“could you live without her?”
it’s giving mid-budget mid-january indie sci fi thriller, but better and frencher. i approached this viewing from more of a popcorn movie perspective, which allowed me to really enjoy the supernatural layers and not come at it too seriously. also, it contains my favorite sub-genre in all of cinema: surprise lesbians, and one of the best “random-homophbic-one-liners-from-a-child” of all time. thank you adele exarchopoulos for this much needed boost of seratonin. mmmmmm
pyromaniac lesbians + fantastic cinematography + magical realism + Adèle Exarchopoulos winked at me
Every now and then I fall apart!!
Pretty damn cool French lesbian witch film that makes no sense but is super original and very pretty to look at. The plot slowly unravels through the viewpoint of a child, so for a lot of it I was thinking what is happening? Where is this going? And nothing much happens and it doesn’t really go anywhere, but I still loved the vibes and the actresses were great. The gymnastic number at the end yaassss hunny.

Square daughter can’t come to grips with how cool and sexy and gay her mom used to be 🙄
overconstructed mess that - in all his desire to combine classic drama, supernatural mystery and social critique - drowns mainly through the missing chemistry between the main protagonists. interesting how Swala Emati is left out of the film like her character is left out of society in the movie itself.
