a movie about a circus and the strangest concept was michelle williams smiling and being happy the entire time
the scene in the beginning where young hugh jackman gets away with stealing bread proves that this is an alternate timeline where jean valjean starts a circus instead of going to prison for 19 years, finding god, and becoming the mayor of a little french town
me: uh yeah so the film has a pretty weak script and uses extravagant musical numbers to cover up that the plot is pretty incoherent and also there’s at least 16 technical issues which is 16 too many for my pretentious ass
also me: LOOK OUT 👀👀 CAUSE HERE I COME 😩✨ AND I’M MARCHING 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️ TO THE BEAT I DRUM 😜🥁 I’M NOT SCARED 😎😤🚫 TO BE SEEN 😱👁 I MAKE NO APOLOGIES 😘👊🏼 THIS IS ME 😂💯
Ignore the vintage 20th Century Fox logo that appears on screen at the start of the film, “The Greatest Showman” is nothing if not a uniquely 21st century spectacle, a gaudy sonic boom of musical cinema that tries to sell you on the magic of the movies like it’s Black Friday at a store that’s going out of business. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a joyfully insane experience that’s as subtle as a circus and twice as loud. Forget the multiplexes; this is a movie that feels like it was made to be screened on a Jumbotron in the middle of Times Square as a shimmering advertisement for its own existence.
Shamelessly familiar and profoundly alien in equal measure, “The…
the time is NOW that we stop with this heinous disrespect of zac efron. he appeals to all demographics! this thot has done 4 1/2 movie musicals, he singlehandedly dominated the comedy genre when he snot rocketed in mike & dave need wedding dates, he’s playing ted bundy soon (for the freaks), and he solved racism through song not once but twice! in both hairspray and this movie! he was also part of the “i am your mother!” snl sketch that is rumored to have inspired hereditary (2018). this man is an american treasure!
Where the hell should i start. Trash, rubbish, poubelle, कचरा, ゴミ, мусор. Those translate to trash. I made the biggest mistake of my life, I said that this film was "one of the best of all time." I want to kill my self. I was a rookie back then. Now that I think about it i think I should see someone as I am suicidal after all sh*t movies. send help. pls like and support
O filme não é nada demais mas a trilha sonora é muito boa. Não é muito surpreendente já que foi scored por Pasek and Paul. Os bicho já ganharam tudo o que é prêmio e dessa vez vieram com tudo pra me deixar feliz. Them songs bruh! Minha favorita é o remake de The Greatest Show do Brendon Urie (não tá no filme).
I did enjoy this originally but a few weeks after it came out the girl in the room next to me played the soundtrack on repeat and now i don't care for it 🤷🏽♀️
The song in the bar with hugh and zac still slaps though.
The no.1 musical film i recommend to all my friend ! MUSIC nice ,performace splendidness, lighting good! story okay ! This is the film near perfect!
The Greatest Showman tries hard to dazzle the audience with a Barnum-style sense of wonder -- but at the expense of its complex subject's far more intriguing real-life story.

The Greatest Showman is a film that I thoroughly enjoy, but it’s also one that I have an immense amount of problems with. I first saw this back when it was released in theaters and I absolutely adored it. I went as far as to give it a perfect 5/5. Later on, I gave it a rewatch and bumped it down to a 4/5. This is the third watch, and I’m really sad to have to bump this film down another star. There’s a couple of reasons why I did this. The massive issue that I have with this film is its portrayal of P.T. Barnum. For those of you who don’t know, P.T. Barnum is the founder of…
