Israeli propaganda so subtle, it won an audience award at artsy liberal Sundance.
The technical failures of this project as a film, let alone a documentary, are staggering. But more so the balls of
-listing 2 or 5 or 10 Israelis killed in Hamas attacks (in dramatic and increasingly large font on the screen), when Israeli-sanctioned historical sources report that, since the war of Independence, over five times as many Palestinians have been killed than Israelis
-Nadiv Schirman (the director) saying in an interview with Sundance that The Green Prince is a “spy thriller”
-Portraying Yassir Arafat as a terrorist
-Pitching to a western audience all too eager to confirm “how easy” peace and democracy can be
Why was Mosab such a valuable asset to the Shin Bet? Spoiler alert: He’s not a terrorist, but he is a sociopath.
(Don’t worry though, he found Jesus in the end.)
