    Não conhecia a fama do Jos Stelling mas é certamente muito particular o modo que o filme é realizado, como se dentro do labirinto da mente dos personagens onde o senso de realidade não é nada comum, diria até que o filme é um dos que melhor retrata distúrbios psicológicos.

    An inane Dutch comedy. The closest US cousin I can think of is Dumb and Dumber, which itself is not funny but which looks like comedy genius vs this one. Typical jokes in this movie are a person crashes a bike into a pond, the same person falls back in the pond when trying to get out, at the dinner table a person attempts to kill a fly that landed on someone's face by slapping the fly on that person's face, flypaper at the same dinner table gets stuck on a person's face. This comedy won a best Dutch film award. I did not vote. Perhaps there is no better example of my reluctance to stop watching a movie no matter how meager the returns.

    Another one of those completely dialogue-free movies that I'll probably enjoy more than you because I already have a head start. This is more avant-slapstick than Tati, Chaplin, or Keaton. It starts with a guy in a riding-on-an-ostrich suit being taunted by harmonica-wielding gravity defiers, and that's all you really need to know. It's unfortunate that this doesn't really go anywhere at all or seem to have anything to say. It's about as deep as your average Will Ferrell movie, and who knows, maybe Freek de Jonge, the guy who wrote this and who plays the titular character, is the Dutch Will Ferrell. It's frequently humorous but not really all that funny, like movies depending on sight gags usually are.…

    I should have known not to put this on. It's clear that films without dialogue that aren't going for minimalism are not my thing. I get bored and frustrated by the insistent attempts at comedy combined by the disdain for human communication. It all feels forced and useless. None of the comedy hits, and in this case the visuals border on the grotesque, though nowhere near as interesting as that might suggest. Maybe it's actually a good film, maybe there's deeper meaning in there, but I don't give
