A haunted house film that wastes no time getting off the ground. By the time the opening credits have passed our four investigators are at the fog laden gates of the Belasco House.
Tasked with finding proof of survival after death, they are paid to lend their expertise. We have a skeptical physicist and his wife, a mental medium spiritualist and a physical medium who happens to be the only person to have entered the house before and come out alive and sane.
Though there's talk of devil worship, incest, necrophilia and cannibalism the movie itself stays pretty tame offering up only a bit of blood and some shadowy nudity. It's nothing I would hold against it though, it stays fun and builds some nice atmosphere and goes places with it's reveal.
Drove me nuts wondering where I had seen Pamela Franklin before - she was one of the kids from The Innocents!
