Mediocrity at it's finest. The acting was meh. Bell is okay, but apart from that, everyone pretty much turns in dud performances.
The story was cute, or at least it could have been. It was bogged down by over the top stretches of run-on blandness. I don't understand why they didn't play up the relationship between Bell's character and her mother. THAT was the keystone of the whole movie. But the two of them got like 10 minutes of screen time together.
Which leads us to the bad direction. It just seemed all very amateur, and sure enough it's Garcia's first directing gig. The soundtrack was pretty cool, but other than that the production kind of made me want to kill myself.
Breaking the 4th wall always gets me though. You'll know what I mean
