Not a terrible film by any standard, but I felt that there was something missing that prevents this from being better than what it is. Granted, I haven't seen many films that revolve around spousal abuse. This film took on a different take on the scenario where the husband is actually remorseful of his actions, which I found to be refreshing. The tension within the family wasn't anything spectacularly interesting, unfortunately. The ending has quite a bit to be desired; not the ending with the brother (that was perfectly fine and does well with the theme of the film), but with the sister and her husband.
Regarding the overall quality, I generally liked the different shots and perspectives for each of the characters; that was a plus. It emphasized the internalized feelings between the sister and her husband quite well.
