Woo, I thought this was gonna be like any ten a penny wacky neighbours flick. But I was super anxious for the whole 80 mins and it was twisted!!! I loved it.

A.V. Club review. Characters taking actions that have no function within the story, serving only to mislead the viewer, annoys the shit out of me; this particular example really puts the "pet" in "pet peeve." Quite proud of my analogy at the end, which I think perfectly communicates the overwhelming exasperation I felt during the film's seemingly endless Big Reveal.
If anything, this reminded me how fatigued I am with the "paranoid person sees incriminating evidence which conveniently disappears right when he/she tries to show someone" trope.
And the fact that the "creepy lullaby" music that plays in this is so glaringly similar to that other paranoid pregnancy movie filled me with such distaste I spent most of the run time giving my TV side-eye.
It's not atrocious, but like, why was this even made? Why bother?
This came on BBC after Match of The Day so I left it on. Realised early I’d saw it before sometime. It’s about two neighbours who are both pregnant, and the strange dynamics that evolve between them. It was alright, a bit too much of the bairn screaming in it for me though!
I wasn't quite expecting this to be so good or to have as much as a gut punch as it did but wow!
A couple are expecting a baby and another couple in the same situation move in downstairs. Things don't go smoothly and we have some creepy moments or is it just post natal anxiety?
Governor Morrissey delivers in this which is good as it was his casting that made me interested.
Often too polished and emotionally restrained, writer-director David Farr’s debut nifty little psychological thriller surprises with a nice mix of mystery, paranoia and tension, filling in occasional cracks in the dialogue and storytelling with its assured direction, slow-burn structure and solid performances.
Striking visuals and strong performances are completely let down by a predictable, increasingly annoying story, that robs the film of its suspense and intelligence. Suspicious of your neighbors? Yeah, totally let them watch your baby for you. Also, the doubting husband trope just needs to go and die.
The amount of times that I screamed at the protagonist something to the nature of, “why would you possibly do that?!?” correlates directly with my level of contempt for this pointless piece of predicatable garbage. Maybe husbands should start learning to remove their heads from their ass and actually listen to their fucking wives.
I did enjoy the color scheme.
A tense human, psychological drama/thriller. Outside of the realm of horror but still so uncomfortable and awkward to have you cringing throughout.
Pretty good, interesting and creepy, well acted by David Morrissey and co, could be a bit slow at times but we enjoyed it.
It does awkward dinner parties and creepy neighbours very well, and while it sags a little in the middle, it has some nasty twists and turns up its sleeve to keep things ticking over.
