A mixed bag of a documentary focusing on cyber warfare and the influences of social media.
It is interesting, but a lot of it feels like surface detail. I'd love to see another documentary take a much longer and deeper look into this subject, as its fascinated and something that is only going to impact our lives more and more as technology advances.
another great documentary by John Maggio. extremely well done with a star-studded cast. that being said, I’m scared for this country and election day interference. good luck charlie.

After watching this documentary, I drove over my laptop 12 times and then lit it on fire.
HBO went HARD on producing political documentaries in the year of 2020, but I can understand why.
This is a pretty good documentary that’s more interesting when covering some subjects over others (the parts on the Sony hacks and the 2016 email leaks were the most interesting to me).
Being an ongoing issue, it’s a documentary without a conclusion- for better or worse, the most interesting part of this story might still be to come.
While it’s a little slow in places, and presentation-wise it’s pretty derivative of other HBO documentaries, it’s still pretty decent and worth a watch if the premise sounds interesting to you.
Nice, if horrifying primer on our ongoing cyberwar nightmare. Works better if you think of it as a spiritual sequel/update on Alex Gibney's superior 2016 documentary Zero Days.

Disturbing exposé on cyber-aggression between countries. Basically, the nation-level version of The Social Dilemma.
Stuxnet, Sands Corp, Sony & the 2016 election are examined in light of cyber vulnerabilities & real word implications.
Not a lot here that’s surprising & yet it does much to erode confidence in the future of technology-reliant societies.
It is hard to believe projects on misinformation when they itself come across as propaganda reels.
Well there's one thing for sure and that it's different from Maggio's Choice of Weapons (2021).
