People must have been sick and tired of Kevin Costner movies by the time The Postman came out, I'm not sure how else it could have 9% positive reviews on RottenTomatoes.com
In a post-apocalyptic world, Kevin Costner's character is a beacon of hope, with his mailbag and hat, for his followers he once again represents progress and stability.
That sentence alone sounds like it would make for an interesting movie.. and yet it is saturated by a neo-western setting and forced romance, but despite it being filled with plot holes I actually like this film. In my opinion there aren't enough post-apocalyptic films where the plot isn't entirely revolving on 1 characters survival.
There's an army led by a fascistic copy-machine salesman. Maybe this is the sentence that sells you on it.
