Why is it so many films feature a reunion of “old friends” who pretty obviously can’t stand each other? The Razing at least acknowledges that fact in one of its first lines of dialogue. “In many parts of the world, this would be a form of torture, being stuck in a room full of people you hate. How long are we going to keep doing this?”
We, in this case, consists of Cory (Jack Wooten, Fallen Angel), and his wife Ellen (Laura Sampson Hemingway, Crossroad of America, Inscriptions), Ray (Logan Paul Prince) and his girlfriend Claire (Mia Heavner), Milo (Dawson Mullen, They Don’t Cast Shadows), and Lincoln (Nicholas Tene, Don Peyote, Apocalypsis). We aren’t sure just who they are, but…
I shouldve known from the poster alone this would be awful, 18 painful minutes watched
J. Arcane and Paul Erskine have some good ideas in the mix here, and it's admirable that they don't take any easy options with their ideas, and the execution of them, but The Razing just has too many flaws working against it (from the script to the sound mix). It certainly has enough there to mark the duo out as talented people worth keeping an eye on though.
I have to say that this is one of the worst and most boring and pretentious movies i've ever seen. So long with no reason and every single character is so anoying and dumb. Didn't understand what was happening the entire movie and I didn't care for it either.
