i respect that every lifetime movie pretty much lays out how it's going to end within the first twenty minutes. it's like "you're here to see some dramatized anguish, let's not make this any more of a brain-teaser than it needs to be, and here's a crazy twist that may or may not negate what we were implying, and done." unfortunately this falls less into the "kooky soap opera intrigue" camp and more into the "depressing and distressing shit happening for 2 hours w/ commercial interruptions" camp. a basic gaslighting plot with a HEAVY emphasis on the gaslighting, and a smidgen of twisty turn hijinks at the end. features one of my favorite lifetime movie stock characters, the "rocker boyfriend" - this particular specimen sports the boldest sartorial decision i've seen in any of these flicks (a bowlcut and pubestache combo). also the dead dad looks like jackie martling
entertaining lifetime movie. it actually did keep me guessing because everyone is a suspect (including the main character) although the answer wasn’t that surprising.
More convoluted than necessary, but the ending was not as predictable as it could have been so I guess that's good. I would really have liked to see them explore the Ashley is actually the killer angle more thoroughly because that actually seemed to have some potential.
