I’d like to mention the cinematography of this film. Nearly every shot was glorious. The simple tones of the colour palette reflecting mood, atmosphere, dyeing the frame in this inky light, and yet not overpowering the scene. The UV, the green and the blue, the beige, the yellow. And finally the phosphorescent blue of the final frame.
Next, let’s talk circles. Considering Hawking’s theory began with a lecture, containing diagrams of ever-smaller circles, it’s safe to say that they’d shaped his life.
