An unnerving watch, and a genuine found-footage horror film: at times it feels as if Lopez is performing an extended monologue from a 'Taxi Driver'-inspired drama.

Ugh. As someone who has had Björk and her art as a staple of comfort and inspiration, this whole Lopez story is extremely upsetting. Especially considering he wasn’t this mastermind who deserves to be studied for generations as a beacon of evil; he was just a fat, disgusting, mentally-ill narcissist who rambled for 80 minutes. Wish Björk didn’t have an “acting” credit so I don’t have to sit through this. This documentary is obnoxiously presented and dwells for far too long on possibly the simplistic more idiotic plan of all time.

Powerful. Depressing. It's a fascinating glimpse into the life of a disturbed man. These videos are so private that I think that it's probably ethically questionable that they were released.

Ricardo is a vile racist psychopath. It is admittedly fascinating to watch someone that evil rant and rave into a camera. He uses so much logic in his madness and that scares me the most.
It is wild to think that this is authentic. This feels like the most well-written found footage documentary I've ever seen, but it is real.
I recommend if you're going to watch this, watch it with a friend who doesnt know Björk or this whole story is real, and see how they feel about it just as a film.
This was so incredibly disturbing to watch, and very emotional. Knowing how horrible of a person he is and yet still feeling sympathy for him is hard to work out. Knowing that someone as evil as this man can feel the same things I do, yet for all the wrong reasons, is fucking weird and terrifying. He needed serious help, but didn’t care to get any. He liked being awful, and wanted attention for it. I wish hurt people like him leaned into the ones who love them and tried to overcome the evil that resides in them. It’s at once scary, hilarious & sad how easily you could switch this with bob “diabeto” chipman & Lindsey Ellis, or quinton Hoover & William parrott for that matter, and nothing else would change.
This is a hard watch. Seeing this made me sympathize with him, which is so conflicting, as he is so deplorable with his intents and thoughts. I didn’t want to say this out of disrespect for the severity of the matter, but it’s too close to taxi driver not to be compared. His loneliness and unmet needs for mental health because of his isolated nature feels too real. Not that I relate, but I mean to say that, there is so much humanization here

I almost don't want to rate or write anything because this feels like the most taboo thing I've ever seen. All I can say is that I'm incredibly impacted, and, although this is an abridged version of his entire 22 hour long diaries, the fact that he created such an artistically cohesive film with a strong sense of narrative, and pure subversive commentary, unconsciously, is pretty fascinating to say the least. I will be studying this and definitely coming back for a rewatch.
This definitely inspired Satoshi Kon and probably Joker, and is especially timely right now. An essential case study in the incel archetype, with an incredibly uncanny atmosphere.
I feel like a terrible person right now. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
