The Workshop was not effective as The Class, but it was still okay. They have one of the students playing video games which had nothing to do with the actual plot. Sorry, it's no Ready Player One. While I wasn't wild about the use of video games in Verhoeven's Elle, at least it pertained to the plot.
Marina Fois isn't my favorite actress, but she shines here in a way I haven't seen before. Matthieu Lucci was also pretty good.
The final act, something had to happen. It sort of did, but it wasn't strong or powerful enough to compel me. It was basically a film with lots of discussion but no strong action. I usually like that kind of thing (I love Rohmer), but here it didn't work as well.
This is the 186th film I've seen using Movie Pass.
