It’s so crazy that Taika Waititi found the MCU passed out in a gutter and single handedly revived it, pumped it’s stomach and brought it back to full health. I can’t believe he then went on to adopt it, raise it as his own and set it out into the world to flourish as the supreme superhero universe.

I apologize to Taika Waititi for not seeing this on the big screen. It came out during awards season and things were quite busy. But I’m such a of fan of his... awards season is no excuse. 

Really had fun with this film. Even the heavy cgi moments worked for me. 

Tessa is amazing and now I’m a major fan. Goldblum rules. Overall... really funny and impressive. 

Oh... that shot where Loki and Valkyrie go to see the Grandmaster and the camera looks into the mirrored floor and flips to follow their reflections. Whoa!  Great shot.  Never have seen that before.

THOR: RAGNAROK is one of those Marvel movies with the hero's journey and the handsome and the jokes and the infinite CG and the cameos and the underwritten villain and the hordes of anonymous goons and wasn't this one supposed to be at least a little bit different?

in my infinite naïveté, i was hoping this would be a Taika Waititi movie produced by Marvel, and not just a Marvel movie directed by Taika Waititi. oh well. there are worse things! it's cute to see Marvel flirt with genre (a genre other than their own, at least), but one of these days they've gotta commit.

Cate Blanchett may be wasted, but she makes for a delightful goddess of death. jeff goldblum is jeff goldblum, and that's fun. parts of the film made me feel like i was watching a feature-length adaptation of the cover art from a Meat Loaf album, and that's… sure.

i love thor ragnarok because it introduced me to taika waititi and his fantastic filmmaking back in 2017 and now i’ve watched it so many times that i could probably recite the dialogue word-for-word from memory

Apart from the film being one of the funniest Marvel has produced, everything else is almost exactly the same.

the more i watch this, the less enthused i feel about it. still the best thor movie, but a bit overhyped. lacks a lot of real emotion and heart considering the actual story it involves, and covers it up with pretty colours and jokes. don’t get me wrong, some of the humour works really well and actually made me laugh! but hearing the words “devil’s anus” said in this movie made me cringe and wonder whether marvel’s goal is for the general public to still associate superhero movies with 12 year old boys. anyways, still a good film that i love, but it could be better.

This is my favourite installment in the hangover series so far

Mr. Taika Waititi always like to out-do himself, he did no less with undoubtedly one of the coolest marvel movies. Simply liked what he did with the characters, his play with colours and that it's one SOLID good move from these Movies. I cannot stress enough how excited I am for love and thunder.
