Love that her funniest material now reckons with her personal life and horrifying medical experiences. That being said, it was the dental visit story and the Dolly finale that really had me laughing out loud. Not my favorite Tig material but this is delightful and funny and much better than her last special.
I’ve yet to find a recorded set of Tig’s that rivals any of the number of times I saw her at bar shows while living in LA. She’s so electric and naturally funny I’ve seen her kill solely on audience riffing and never going into any real material.
Have enjoyed all her specials / sets in spite of these thoughts and honestly this is a pretty great one. The cartoon aspect is fine, doesn’t hurt it but doesn't add much value for me. Cool that the style keeps changing
