I found this to be a pretty good watch. If you’re interested in elite sport and/or mental health I’d recommend checking it out.
Second time in recent years that Sweden sent in a formulaic Whiplash (2014) rip-off for Oscar consideration. Let's hope their 2022 submission provides a much-needed change of pace.

Films about football have rarely tackled the real cost of what it's really like at elite level. As you get older you often begin to forget how young superstar prodigies truly are – for example at Arsenal, the team that I support – the average age of the entire squad is 24.6 years old, with prodigies Bakayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe being 20 and 21 respectively. It’s a daunting prospect to be in a position that every fan dreams of accomplishing from a young age – few get the chance to play at the highest level, and not everyone always succeeds even when they…
Has its ok moments, completely competently directed and made but extremely bland.
For a film that is meant to be critical of the professional football it spends a ton of time on plain character drama that doesn't really go anywhere.
Mostly like a watered down sports whiplash but without the tension
Ohh I like this a lot.
Basicly its an underdog story about a very talented young football player that moves to Italy and get a big taste of the not to glorious life of being a alone in a place, not knowing the language surrounded by competition that doesnt like him that much.
Based on a true story.
Absolutely worth to watch
I can think of doing a rewatch of this sometime in the duture.

I lost count I think. I think this is number 6 of Göteborg film festival.
8.5 /10
By tackling this gloss-free & top-tier Production about the upper echelons of football both seriously & realistically (ie. well beyond the usual fairytale blah) this movie becomes an engrossing watch.
Great acting from young Lead Erik Enge, & especially well supported by Alfred Enoch who's major presence contrasted the situational & dynamic personal scenarios near-perfectly.
NZIFF #7: Tigers
I don't know if I wanted more football in the film (as we rarely get football films in the first place) or less football to give more time to flesh things out more
The acting and lighting was simply amazing. Sound design was really great also.
The main character had fantastic chemistry between him and his friend in the first half of the movie. I was really sad when he went away. Very enjoyable.
