Traces was ok film very slow pace kind of boring as well some stuff works some don’t thought writing too blend solid performances

Traces is the International Feature submission for Croatia. This subtle, quiet film is about a woman named Ana who lives with her father in Zagreb. They’re the last two remaining members of what used to be a large family. Ana is a doctor of anthropology and she is writing her latest book about local burial customs. She is especially interested in the practice of mirila, in which a measurement of the deceased is taken by using two stones, one at the head and one at the feet. Each headstone is decorated with a unique personal symbol.

Everything is as it’s supposed to be.
With its slow pace and some transcendent ideas, Traces tries very hard to mask as an art film, but at its core it’s an underwhelming, unremarkable, and forgettable drama steeped in mediocrity.
Traces is one of those really slow “artsy” movies that just doesn’t really go anywhere. I liked it more towards the beginning, but the film just meanders on and on. I was bored, and the film just didn’t hook me. Overall, I didn’t care for this. Perhaps you might get more enjoyment out of this than me, if you are a bigger fan of slow cinema than I am. But in all honesty this just felt dull.
