A new friendship with a geocacher has troublemaker Erica (Ansley Gordon) wondering what is the meaning of life, and where can she find it?
I had the fun honor of being credited as the "Geocaching Consultant" on this film and worked with director Chris Williamson in the beginning to discuss many aspects of the hobby. (I happily discovered today that it is my second credit on IMDB!)
We shot a promotional video for my Geocaching YouTube channel that allowed Chris to start communicating with the Geocaching community, a community that has lovingly embraced this film about their favorite hobby...
This film shows that the value of life is like a geocache: the journey is what matters most and the value of the treasure is altered by one’s approach.
I got a lot more laughs out of this film than I thought I would. The father-daughter relationship is stellar and the emphasis on a support system (having one and being part of one) is a great message. I loved all of the side characters, how they weren’t made tangential to the plot. The change in our main character’s attitude is wholly convincing thanks to little details like having her pick up trash and be excited about other people’s interests. She learns and grows with every interaction shaping her personality and behavior.
