Troop Zero was a pleasant enough watch. Viola Davis as Miss Rayleen really laid the law down and rocked a beautiful 'fro. Mckenna Grace, one of my favorite up-and-coming actresses, plays Christmas Flint, a motherless girl who is unnecessarily bullied but has a positive attitude anyway.
Allison Janney is funny/mean/scary as Miss Massey.
The movie has its own lingo. There's no "fixin' to" or "finna to". They said "funna" instead, with a lot of other maybe this is normal for 1977 Georgia). Overall, it was a lot of fun and featured Katie Ellwood and Amber Templemore-Finlayson (as Bert & Bertie) as directors.

Miss Rayleen references her ex-boyfriend who had antlers on the wall (positive spin: she knew she could do better).
