Nothing David Lynch has ever done is as surreal as young thicc Madea taking an iPhone selfie with Rosa Parks after threatening her with a gun.
The historians lied. The person who threw the first brick at Stonewall was no other than Madea herself.
“Damn this family!”
It’s now well-established that she loves to get high, so I think it’s finally time for JAY AND SILENT BOB MEET MADEA.
My mum and I have been huge fans of Madea's movies ever since we first saw one of his Goes To Jail film. Almost all of her movies have made me laugh, with the exception of the first and possibly second movies, where this character has limited relevance to the plot and was more of a supporting role. I've even seen and loved several of the live plays. That shouldn't be surprising since I'm a fan of Eddie Murphy's work where he plays various roles, including Norbit - although I haven't seen it for over a decade.
This film was no exception, the addition of the character of Agnes Brown contributed to many more laughs. Perry's somewhat raunchy humour as…
Didn’t enjoy all the extra characters and it did feel a little long. However, I really do love some Madea.
this was so fucking messy and the plot makes zero sense, but like holy fuck. madea saying she started the civil rights movement killed me
Pure stupidity. Surprised it isn’t just a painful menstrual show. Not good but not painful like how some people are gonna make it out to be. To the white people who are making post about how this movie is painful cause of its politics when this is the only peace of black content you have watched during black history month, please stop your performative bullshit and stfu. Get off of your politically righteous high horse when your feed has been a snow storm during February. :)
Literally asked my roommate how this was and he said “it’s not offensive.” I was offended the entire time. 😂😂😂
Madea has canonically broken the time space continuum by having a smart phone in the 1950s.
Why, just why was this made. Just when I thought the madea series was over after what was supposedly after the last film they decide to make another one. While I’ll admit this was slightly better than the funeral one this is still pretty bad.
This film is very police lives matter and very much so speaks against how bad the black lives movement was for everybody. Legit when they were making statements that Black Lives Matter is a joke I was grossed out. But that not the worse thing either. There a whole scene that plays out that disrespect rosa parks over a very bad joke. Then the worse offender is this explores the gay storyline which I love…
Tyler Perry’s stereotype transmutation, now with bonus tag-team crossdressing. The Madeaverse gets borderline surreal every time the lore expands, but when a new section gets tossed into the Madea Omnibus, the man who built his whole career on feeding into the White population’s idea of Black family dynamics somehow gets even more reductive. Battling the “woke mob” bogeyman with strawman humor because you have a chip on your shoulder does nothing but make your consistently low-effort comedy career that much harder to find entertainment value in. Given the consistent “you’re so special, Madea” comments that are thrown around here, I am convinced that Perry uses the Madea persona as a proxy to echo his political opinions and his ego back to himself. Fair play, but at some point the method will run out of material. I demand ‘Orwell’s Madea: 1984’.
