Unknown is a solid, disposable and moody riff on Hitchcockian conspiracy thriller by Jaume Collet-Serra. Action sequences are well-executed and Liam Neeson owns this genre. No matter how implausible the script, he elevates the movie.
The Box Office Bashing Season: 2003 to 2014
NEW RULE!
From now on, ANY film that features a character attempting to use their mobile phone and getting no service, especially when they're slap-bang in the middle of a large city, is immediately turned off.
FUCK OFF WITH THIS SHIT.
Watched this with my parents. I think it only exists if you get close enough to your parents. When I go back to California this movie will disappear from my consciousness. I won't miss or even remember it but I did enjoy our short time together. Permanence is an illusion, we will all return to the darkness. It does not void the light. Burn on, my friends.

Task 19. Watch a German film from 2011 (28/30 complete)
Rarely do I wish that the action scenes would just end so that we could get back to the plot but I did it here.
Everyone look stop what you're doin' cuz I'm about to ruin the rhythm and the rhyme that you're used to... this film is awesome... it's like the da vinci code for botanists/biologists mixed with the Game and Taken. Mystery thrillers are kind of a dying breed so it's fun to see one every once…
So, Kaitlyn and I managed to go all this time without catching Liam Neeson's first teamup with junk-food cinema maestro Jaume Collet-Serra because of a simple, weird mistake. I thought I'd watched this movie every time the poster floated by online, because I remembered something about a bunch of guys waking up with amnesia in a warehouse and needing to figure out why they're all there and what happened. Seemed like a Liam Neeson mystery for sure. Then, bored one night and scrolling through netflix, my wife lands on Unknown. She wants to see it. Her love of Liam Neeson is a strange and powerful thing and I don't question it at this point. I was ready to say let's…
Liam Neeson could probably break my legs at age 68 and I still wouldn't be mad.
Although you really have to suspend your disbelief in the final act and the twist is honestly really dumb and doesn't make much sense, Unknown is still a fun and entertaining thriller. Liam Neeson delivers a great lead performance as usual and the film is always engaging. The action sequences are also alot of fun to watch and the cinematography is pretty impressive. Definitely not a great film by any means and its far from Neeson's best but this is still a solid film from him.
It spends a lot of time setting up for the twist, but when it actually comes around the film falls off a cliff.
Liam “King of 3’s” Neeson back at it again with another somewhat entertaining but for the most part forgettable action thriller. Not nearly as heavy on the action, choosing to go more the thriller route with plenty of twists and turn to keep you always guessing.
B-
"I remember how to kill you, asshole."
Another case of competent action/conspiracy thriller that instantly becomes more entertaining through the mere presence of Liam Neeson, despite the gradual upswings toward narrative implausibility.
Feels like an 80s De Palma thriller with all the jerk-off content removed.
Regardless, I want Liam and Jaume to make 52 movies per year.
Every single week.
Just grind 'em out like episodes of Peppa Pig.
