In Jim O’ Connolly’s action adventure thriller, Simon Templar (Roger Moore) is outraged when a British banker is murdered after he recognizes an old colleague-turned-Mafia kingpin.
This film was adapted whilst the television series The Saint was being aired on television. However, this film was released after The Saint has finished its broadcast run on television.
But this is not the first time that Simon Templar has been adapted for cinema. RKO Radio Pictures adapted a series of films from 1938-1943, with George Sanders and Hugh Sinclair play the title character.
