I believe this is my second Uruguayan horror film and this was so much better than I could've expected. Suspenseful, stylish, entertaining, this is overall a solid virus/zombie outbreak film with a quite interesting twist, the infected needs a 32-second break to recharge after killing those not yet infected. The film looks fantastic with the cool overhead shots in the beginning, the red lights which dominate every scene, and it makes effective use of darkness to create a compelling atmosphere dripping with tension, with a great score to accompany it. A few zombie film cliches hurt this film a bit but the setting and the drama balance it out for me.
It's solid, if not slightly formulaic. It's a decent companion to The Sadness if you're looking for an international infection vibe coming outta the worldwide covid pandemic.
In this, you get infected, get red rings on your palms, high kill drive, once the blood lust is satiated, you're calm for 32 seconds before you gotta kill again.
Like I said, a little predictable but a fun time. I personally wouldn't classify this anywhere near a zombie film, it's the infected genre that I'm sure we'll all get sick of in like a years time. For now, I enjoy it.
I don’ care if sayin’ this makes me an ‘ack, sumthin’ ‘bout a woman inna grey/brown uniform runnin’ ‘round a spooky dark buildin’ duckin’ an’ divin’ from angry Zombie-ish things feels VERY Res’dent Evil. There’s even stuff I’d ALMOS’ call Mission Objectives man.
I don’ r’member wot it woz but I think the las’ Fas’ Zombie movie I watched an’ liked woz Spanish an’all so maybe they’ve jus’ got this shit figured out more’n the res’ve us have. It’s nothing prop’ly new, there’s Greatest Hits bits like The One Pregnant Zombie floatin’ ‘round all over the fuckin’ shop, an’ the reason fer the “32” in the title’s really stretchin’ wot’s a new spin on anythin’, but it looks really nice an’ mos’ve the actin’ feels like it’s better’n ya’d think it’d be. Shudder’s bin shittin’ the bed recen’ly but this one’s good.
This was a small scale viral infection flick: infected ppl running, violent outbursts, bloody eyes, screaming, etc. The lead wasn't particularly memorable but wanting to keep her young daughter safe was relatable. Still found it hard to invest in the story unfortunately. This brought nothing new to the table but the "32" bit was kinda neat. There was one fairly intense sequence in a narrow hall way. I won't remember this film a couple hours from now.
Definitely in the lower tier of low budget zombie flicks.
There’s a scene where they use the score from 28 Days Later and that got my attention but other than that I was BORED.
Don’t look.

Fun little “Non-Zombie” film. You know those films where... it’s clearly a zombie film, even though, technically, they are not zombies (but they kinda are).
It doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel in its film making, but it does keep it simple and does things right. Proper build up, no annoying editing, some nice long cuts that build tension and violent outbursts that feel earned.
I know a lot of people didn’t like this, maybe I was just in the right mood for it, but I thought it did a good job of setting a tone where you have no idea if this thing is headed for a happy or darkly depressing ending. I liked that.

Totalmente envolvente, terror sin parar con escenas violentas, explicitas y muy pero muy jugadas. Banco mucho esta apuesta al terror del cine uruguayo.
