I needed a light hearted film and this one filled the bill nicely! It's not a laugh out loud film, it's mildly funny, amusing, quirky and quaint! Character driven film with wonderfully colorful characters that make this an enjoyable film!
A bunch of old dudes trying to swindle money out of a dead dude by any means necessary. A wholesome film for the whole family!
A lovely, warm hearted film with some fun, likeable characters and Irish charm set in a beautiful Irish villiage with mountains and the sea and tiny houses. Even though the story is rather dark and involves fraud commited by the whole village, it was still a funny, cute little film with some excellent songs , a feelgood vibe and a cozy film in general.

Another function for this project is finally watching films that I should have watched over 20 years ago.
Waking Ned, or Waking Ned Devine as it's called in America because the added surname adds so much explanation of the plot doesn't it, is a gentle little comedy with tons of heart and spirit that understands the potential pitfalls of a story like this and how it can sour its viewers to its characters.
Because unless you're prepared to play this out like a black comedy, which Waking Ned isn't, it can come across as a bit mean spirited to have your characters scheming to claim lottery winnings from a dead…
This is a film where a woman refuses to date the man she loves because he smells like pig shit and I need more love stories like it.
I know you're reading this Ayaka, call me back please.
