This is a tough one to crack. I’m a little concerned about releasing my YouTube review due to the fact that the story is remarkable. It’s one that needs to be told and one that, frankly, deserves a better product. This film is just exactly what you expect it to be from the trailer. It’s completely flat from a directing standpoint and it has a “Lifetime movie” feel to it. It’s not all bad. The relationship between her and her mother is decent. And Missi Pyle isn’t the worst thing ever. The problem is that the story skips through almost every chance for emotion. We get no time to flesh out…
It really pains me to give a movie like this wish is based on a inspirational true story a negative review. The problem is the movie doesn’t tell the story very well at all, it adds way too many cheesy moments, some unnecessary humor that’s just not funny and nothing very memorable at all. The acting ranges from bad to okay, it’s very clear that some of the cast really can’t act which might not be their fault because of such a basic script that really doesn’t give the audience any emotional moments which is really disappointing. Sure there might have been one or two moments however that was at the end of the movie which is too little too…
horse-movies are my guilty pleasure, but this was bad. This story is very inspirational but the movie didn't do it much justice in my opinion
I know I have used this in like 3 of my reviews already but man I would much rather be playing Animal Crossing New Horzions for the Nintendo Switch.
Also Corbin Bleu (Chad from Highschool Musical) played a physical in this movie needed more screentime.
I watched this movie with my parents because it had an actor one of them liked in it. I don't even know who. I regret every second I spent watching this terrible, pandering, emotionally exploitative film. Some of the weakest acting and dialogue I've seen in a movie in a long time. The actors are terrible, with maybe only one or two passable performances. But that's all they are. Passable. The direction is flat and boring all the way through. And all of the shots are static, almost no movement at all. It's like the director or the DOP didn't know how to move the camera during a shot. The dialogue scenes were just shot-reverse-shot the entire movie. The most…
inspirational story based on true events, but the film feels very flat...
also, i don't know why, but i don't like to see my job portrayed in films, is almost an instant no from me 🙇
This film proves the maxim that the truth is always more extraordinary than fiction. Walk. Ride. Rodeo. tells the true story of Amberley Snyder, a barrel racing prodigy who is struck down at the start of her professional aspirations due to a car accident. She ends up paralyzed from the waist down. The astonishing thing is, this girl is so determined to ride and rodeo again that she does, and does so at a professional level.
Unfortunately, the writing and acting in this film does not measure up to the incredible story. Spencer Locke plays our principal character. It seems like she has learned how to act plucky and strong, but when it came to vulnerability, she was as stiff…
My best friend and I wanted to hang out again, that's why another horse girl movie so soon.
It's dope as fuck that the real Amberley and Power did all the stunts for this, and that's just about all the positives I got. This is is a bad bad movie. Don't even watch this to laugh at it for fun. It's not worth it.
A great story rushed & drained of most emotional impact
Also, this poster looks like one of those weird hidden images things where it sometimes looks like she's wearing a hat & sometimes not. I hate it.
