Just because someone stumbles and loses their path... doesn't mean they're lost forever.
X-Men Binge, 2021
Last stop: The Wolverine
Next stop: X-Men: Apocolypse
Wow... Everyone really got me so excited for this movie just to pull the rug out from under me. It wasn't even a good movie. The scenes in the past were entertaining enough, mostly because of the coolest people in this franchise young Peter, Charles, Hank, and Erik, but the REST? I was falling asleep.
Evan Peters killed it, obviously, he's Evan Peters, but the fun Quicksliver bits and the weird Age-of-Ultron-looking sentinel robots seemed like things out of completely different movies. Like... what the hell?
The spunky 70s vibe is the ONLY thing keeping this from dipping below a 3/5. I'm conflicted if I should even select myself as "liking" the movie, to be honest.
I thought everyone said this was the best X-Men movie or something!
