At times, touching on greatness, and at other times, deeply infuriating and occasionally even embarrassing. So yeah, much like a lot of RTD's Who work too.
Years and Years was such a bold concept. Imagine a personal epic like Our Friends in the North, yet instead of mining the past, the saga navigates its way through a possible future. Mixing influences as diverse as Threads, Black Mirror, Doctor Who, Coronation Street, and even Karaoke together, produced a vision of tomorrow that was often very close to the bone, but also sometimes just too fantastical and somewhat lurid for my tastes.
