This Italian Poe-nography jam from Sergio Martino concocts a scuzzy, violent and thoroughly nasty picture that isn’t afraid to mix in some gothic flourishes into the black gloved killer narrative.
Packed to the gills with genre heavyweights (Edwige Fenech, Anita Strindberg, Luigi Pistilli, and Ivan Rassimov) and sporting the usual highly stylized italio cinematography, Your Vice looks wonderful, showcasing its rather lurid acts of violence with a keen eye that isn’t afraid to turn away—sewn together with another stellar score from Bruno Nicolai that perfectly weaves in and out of Martino’s psychosexual murder jam.
