A couple random thoughts:
This film is Bill Pullman's finest hour, and this is not up for debate.
It saddens me that I live in a world where the fourth Transformer movie is only months away from release, yet there is no series of Daryl Zero flicks. They could have made at least three more by now, have not, and that is a goddamned shame.
America's very own answer to Sherlock Holmes is as brilliant as you'd think, and as much of a mess as you'd hope for. This flick is funny and strange and VERY low-key (no action sequences here) in a way that only accentuates the highly specific charms and strengths contained therein.
I absolutely love this movie and wish for nothing more than for millions of people to give it a chance, because a number of those souls would discover a special gem to cherish and enjoy for years to come.
