    Joker

Joker is a special film. Rarely do we get a film so blazingly awful that it makes me question the participation of people who I previously respected. You would swear a brilliant performer like Joaquin Phoenix would be able to catch how much bullshit is spewing out of Todd Phillips and Scott Silver’s philosophically confused screenplay. The first 2/3rds come across like adventurous horror story instead of the isolated terror I'd expect from Eggers. The only…

    The House That Jack Built

    ★★★★

I think I’ve never been so ashamed about loving a movie. I don’t think I could recommend The House That Jack Built to anyone. Utterly absurd, fascinating, at times severely off putting, very much full of itself, and pretty darn funny. I love it.
