Asian Film Marathon 18#
What a great crime thriller! What it lacks in originality and approach to the genre, it makes up for thanks to the great direction, acting, cinematography and the twists and turns. It plays upon the conventions such as the good cop bad cop routine in a way that is not worn-out and tiresome. Instead, this film has some of the usual traits, and combines it with great writing. The tension builds, and the story unfolds slowly, which challenges the word 'thrilling'. All I can say is, I really enjoyed it. Full thoughts are in my video review below:
