Filmspotting's Tribute to Ebert Class Syllabus

Summer 2014 "Tribute to Roger Ebert" course at the University of Chicago's Graham School.

Anyone who read or watched Roger Ebert’s reviews has a story about a film they discovered solely because of his passion and encouragement—off-the-beaten path gems that readers and viewers took a chance on because of their trust in Ebert, and their faith was rewarded. This course will pay tribute to arguably the most influential film critic ever by examining some of Ebert’s favorite, and most personal, overlooked and under-appreciated films. Screenings will include the work of Errol Morris, Werner Herzog, Ramin Bahrani, Yasujiro Ozu and more.
