This type of movie has been made before, and more movies of this type will be made in the future. It's generic schlock that was a fine way to kill two hours on a Tuesday afternoon. I'll say this, though: the way the human villain (because all of these movies have to have a human villain) is killed off was impressive.
The rare sequel that addresses some of its issues from the first film, fixes them, and decides to just go all out on everything people loved from the first one. More emotional than the first, which was a pleasant surprise, and the action, comedy, fourth-wall breaking, and performances are all amped up for this wild ride of a movie that I can't wait to see again.
