  • Stalker

While I still find Andrei Rublev to be my favorite of Tarkovsky's films, Stalker has got to be the most profound and cryptic addition to his filmography, often considered his masterpiece. I won't argue against it, the breakdown of human psychology (particularly desire and morality) throughout its 3 hour runtime between the Stalker, the Professor and the Writer brings forth a methodical approach to introspection which slowly eats away at our three characters who believe that getting into the "Room"โ€ฆ

    The Northman

When Robert Eggers first announced that his third directorial feature was going to be a Nordic epic titled The Northman, the foundation of anticipation was instantly laid for those Eggheads who watched AND fell in love with his first two features: The Witch and The Lighthouse. Here was a man who burst into Hollywood like a crazed Viking and took the arthouse scene by storm with his knack for historical accuracy and vision for original and unsettling creation. Now fastโ€ฆ
