It’s weird learning about the backlash that happened after his death, he definitely wasn’t the king or even the originator of Heroin Chic but his death is what ultimately led to its demise. Also the fact that he was crucified despite actively protesting drug use (ignoring his later days when he did begin to use) is quite sad.
It’s also a great example of when an artist knows they’re going to die relatively soon…

Honestly Im in love with this, I lost my Kubrick virginity to it which I think was a great call, also I heard a story from PTA that they shot this with like a crew of 6 and that is absolutely buck wild.
I could talk for hours about this but the scene with Nicole Kidman laying in to Tom Cruise about her desires is arguably the best scene I’ve ever seen.
I’m gonna rewatch soon and it’ll probably go upto a 5 then
