What We Do in the Shadows

    ★★★★½

Buy the premise, buy the bit. The premise here is that you’re watching a documentary about a group of vampires living together as flatmates. In the spirit of shows like Teen Titans Go, humor comes from the focus on the mundane, rather than the adventurous aspects of being a vampire. You’re either in for that or not.

    Little Evil

    ★★★

This is really more black comedy than horror, which actually makes the few “horror movie” scenes feel awkward and out of place. The story is a tad cliche, and not everything adds up in the end. All that being said, it’s an enjoyable and entertaining, fairly typical Netflix flick.

6/10. It won’t change your life, but you don’t need it to.

    Killing Ground

    ★★★

Right in the middle, for me. Not great but not terrible. Some editing/story telling choices that didn’t work for me, and it definitely does not deliver gratuitous violence, despite being very much about rape, murder, and violence to babies. (Yes, babies!) If you like home invasion and murderous-rednecks-in-the-woods type movies and don’t need to actually see the graphic, gratuitous violence, then it’s worth a watch, especially for free on Netflix.

    Jeepers Creepers 3

    ★★

Poorly written, poorly acted, abysmally edited, and filled with awful looking and unnecessary CGI. Might have achieved Sharknado levels of fame if it was called anything else and released on TV.
