This is Tarantino’s first feature film and you can’t deny the significant impact it caused. Although it was early on in Tarantinos career, the writing is just as spectacular as some of his later work and in fact its the dialogue that drives the film. The film is based around a gang heist that has gone wrong, it then switches back and forth in time, showing the stories behind the characters or showing the events that took place around the time of the crime. It is slow paced in parts but that’s the beauty of it, long stretches of enticing dialogue that causes you to invest in the gradually unfolding story line. This isn’t my no.1 Tarantino film but it’s certainly up there.
