    With the great Scorsese’s birthday recently, I felt it was appropriate to rewatch one of his best films. I enjoyed it just as much the second time, if not more. I was pleased to discover he won Best Director for this film, fully deserved. It has one of the best casts in cinematic history, Nicholson, DiCaprio, Damon, the list goes on. A terrific plot that unravels and gets more enticing as the film develops, presenting the problems faced when two men both try to infiltrate the Irish Gang, of course they both have different reasons for this.

    The simplicity of this film is perhaps what makes it such a masterpiece. 90 minutes. One room. 12 men. I was captivated throughout its entirety. As the script unravels I find myself becoming more and more enticed.
