LOVED this. Loved loved loved it. So fresh, so original, amazing score (I need it now I want to listen over and over), great vibes, two phenomenal lead performances. This is the film I've been looking for (at Sundance), something that's superb right from the start and sticks the landing. Perfection.
I am madly in love with this film, and with its star Jimmie Fails (who also co-wrote the script). The film has a bit of a Wes Anderson vibe, but it's really its own thing. So rich and stunning and engaging, with an uplifting vibe despite some depressing aspects of the story.
This might be my favorite film of the festival and I'm so so so glad I finally saw it at Sundance. I want to watch it again right now.
