Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ★★★★

I won't lie, I absolutely adore this movie. I recognize the flaws. The plot is almost indecipherable if you haven't seen WandaVision, not to mention a dozen other Marvel films. The entire film is basically one long chase, and there's little buildup or resolution.

Yet I don't care. I have seen WandaVision. I love movies that run on pure inertia. If the director has enough energy (and boy does Sam Raimi have energy) then a movie like that is entertaining and thrilling as hell.

I think Michael Waldron got the characters right. Wanda here is the truest to comic form she's ever been. Wanda is a tragic villain, whose rage overpowers her better judgement. It's who she's always been and Elizabeth Olsen is brilliant in portraying her.

Give me more Sam Raimi, give me more Superhero Horror!
