Frankco Lamerikx’s review published on Letterboxd:
An entertaining action movie, but not entertaining enough to elevate it above the level of mediocrity. Apart from a mid-film conversation between the two protagonists that touches upon some of their fears and desires, much more could've been made of the introduction of a female partner next to "Dirty" Harry Callahan's decidedly macho character. The ending, set on the island of Alcatraz, also does not use this iconic environment to its fullest potential. The music is really great, though, but all in all this feels like a missed opportunity.
