    I’ve been waiting for this film for so long and it’s finally here...

    There are plenty of clever moments and compelling, yet entertainingly sadistic, portrayals of murder that really stand out. I loved how the film was split into 5 sections (or incidents), not that it surprised me considering it’s one of his signature things.

    The first half made me feel nostalgic for being younger.  The last half slowly broke my heart.  The film is really endearing with a set of characters that I actually cared about.  All the performances are great as well, especially by Sunny Suljic.  At times the film is also purposely cliche, as Jonah Hill stated it would be.  It’s a movie built off of some of those tropes.

    I can understand why someone may be underwhelmed by the film, however.…

    Damien Chazelle does it again, this time making an intense, and often poignant film, about Neil Armstrong. I liked Gosling’s performance in this; however, I really liked Claire Foy’s performance, even though she was in it for less of the runtime.
