I had a great time watching this film. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it, but I’m glad it didn’t play it as safe as I thought it might. However, it doesn’t break new ground. It’s often heavily reminiscent of many other horror-comedy-thrillers such as You’re Next which makes some of the story and its overall direction feel familiar, but by the time it reaches its third act it takes a stand for itself, begging to spread its wings and take new life...and it kinda works. I liked the direction the film ultimately took, and I actually think there’s a chance I would go see this again.
