My first Wes Anderson movie also happens to be an adaptation of a Roald Dahl book I enjoyed quite a long time ago. I don't think this is a masterpiece, but it's still a charming, quirky story with great characters matched by an impressive cast. But of course, the standout is that animation. Wonderfully stylized and really unique, the stop-motion here is gorgeous, and I can only imagine how long it took to achieve this. All in all, a nice surprise!
