stylishly erotic, to the point of it being repetitive but also has its moments, my favourite moments is probably when the guy who sings in the background appears. an overall good romp

it's okay, it's well paced but I didn't really feel that invested in it.

its like gay porn but without the porn.

I appreciate what this movie was trying to do, but it has a lot of faults, the acting is so bad and boring (except steven he was kinda good) that they might as well be real porn actors, the tonal shifts are jarring, the music they use feels like it comes straight out of helix studios catalogue.

its a shame i could see this movie being better a lot better if it…

theres something in this movie that i cant describe very clearly, its weird, funny, beautiful, ugly, and uplifiting at the same time.

the main character billy played by the director Vincent gallo (who ive only heard before because of his unedited sex scene in brown bunny) was great. christina ricci playing the love interest was also amazing.

the transition slides looked tacky though, i guess it was intentional, to give it that lived in ugly feel. but also kinda cool…

got introduced to this movie via eddie vedders cover of hard sun, been holding it off watching it till someone reccomended it to me i like it, the music, plot, cinematography everything just seemed to click, but it gets really cheesy sometimes wich i dont mind really but it kinda takes you out of the movie. Its a bit long but the time flew by as i watched it 👍

probably, my favourite takahata movie to date, everything about it was sublime and wonderful. it uses the subject of memories pretty good and well thought out, the animation was a bit bad at some areas, like people seeming to pop out of the scene, but its just a minor complaint really compared to how great the movie is.

    Initial thoughts and analysis
That, was something. the premise itself is interesting, whats more intresting is how the director took the premise and and elevated it. let me explain the best as i can, i get the feeling that the movie was about dealing with grief and it uses the premise as a vehicle. the beat of the movie is basically the 5 stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. at least thats what i got from it.…

im not that familiar with Scorsese's filmography but i know hes a prolific director so i got high hopes for this, definitely going to see goodfellas soon. I have to say though i would have liked it more when it didnt spend 1 hour of the movie with voiceovers and exposition, dont get me wrong i think this movie is amazing. Whats not to like great cinematography, joe pesci, de niro, the jazz sound track everything just works.

I could name so many scenes that are just perfect.
