task 5: a film about someone losing control of their life
-"If a person can't afford dog food they shouldn't have a dog."
Did not fit the prompt particularly well but it certainly fit the challenge. From the moment a teenage grocery store clerk high on his own self-perceived righteousness delivers that stomach-churning line and initiates the series of events that causes Wendy to lose her beloved dog, this movie's as likely to make you cry from stress and anger as from the small acts of kindness Wendy receives from an elderly man who offers her his help with no strings attached; they stand out against the quietly tragic backdrop of the rest of the film.
