Hearing Kyle MacLachlan talk about his experience working with David Lynch during his visit to the Criterion Closet (which I really recommend you watch) is incredibly heartwarming. Despite the commerical and critical failure of David Lynch's Dune from 1984 - which Lynch himself hates - Kyle was overjoyed and grateful to hear that the director had chosen to work with him again (he showed MacLachlan the script for Blue Velvet during the filming of Dune in fact, intending for him…

Truly a magical cinematic journey. Throughout nearly the entire film I had a giant, stunned and starstruck grin on my face. Absolutely loved it. The Fabelmans has all of the schmaltziness that you can expect from Spielberg, but with this behemoth of passion and love for those who support you throughout your life, it's truly deserved and so wonderful! This vessel for love looks astonishing, magnificent and awe-inspiring every second it was on the screen. I won't lie, I wasn't…

Not consistently brilliant (all of the romantic subplots fell really flat sadly, I can see this film being so much more hard-hitting if they developed the female characters more) but Serpico is a pretty great film. Al Pacino is iconic and that ending is brilliant! Sidney Lumet is so versatile as a director it's incredible.

Dead Ringers couldn't be nearly as good without it's unusual but remarkable writing and Irons' distinct performances as both Bev and Elly Mantle. What surprised me the most and what I loved most about the film was the insightful examination of the relationship between the twins, their physical as well as psychological bond and how they view…

    Bāhubali: The Beginning

Extremely tone-deaf, awful acting, mostly-terrible and inconsistent special effects, the writing is bad, it's WAYYYYYY too long. This was my introduction to Bollywood movies, please do not think I have bad taste, it was a pick for a podcast, so don't think I like these type of movies, please. Got it? Good. 😌
