This movie, made in 1933, looks better than most blockbusters made from 1999 - 2006.
Sleepaway Camp is a cheap movie. It looks cheap, it sound cheap, its produced cheap. But that's its charm. Watching the movie with a group of people who've never seen it before was a wild ride. One of my all-time favourite movie watching experiences. The reactions to "where I come from we call 'em baldies" was priceless. Not to mention the final reveal.

I was so looking forward to this, and was crushingly disappointing at the result. I didn't hate it, but I wanted to love it. The action is so sloppy, grey and miserable to look at. I was hoping to see Godzilla take on Ghidorah with 2019 special effects, and what I got was a mish-mash of shots that sort of resembled that fight, but just as much could have been something from the Bayformers movies.
